I am very excited about my new book, A SURVIVORS GUIDE TO CANCER: THE NEW 7-POINT PLAN TO RECLAIM YOUR HEALTH. This is the book I would have loved to find when I was first diagnosed. It will save you hours of research and surfing the web looking for 'help'.

When someone is told they have cancer. it is one of the most frightening experiences a person can have. You just need someone to say, 'This is what you have to do' and to empower you to take control of what is happening in your body.

In 2003, like thousands of other women, I had surgery for breast cancer and in September 2007 I found out I had bowel cancer. That was when I realised that once you have had cancer surgery, you cannot just go back to your life as it was and expect cancer to stay away. I have learned the hard way that you need to make fundamental changes in lifestyle and diet in order to keep cancer at bay. I spent the next nine months finding out everything I could about what makes cancer thrive and how to make my body inhospitable to this disease.

I explored many different ways to help the body to fight back because I needed to know how to help myself as naturally as possible to cope with this very frightening disease. Not only that, how to deal with the harsh cancer treatments -  the effects of chemo/radiotherapy and major surgery. With the latest statistic showing that 1 in 2 people in the US have or will have cancer in their lifetime and 1 in 3 in the UK, I know that what I have learned must be shared.

The Secret of Home - The writing is on the wall

You can read your home ....... Doors, windows, walls and floors, and all that happens in and on them - they reveal so much about our lives. Lindsay Halton designed the house that won the Grand Designs Eco Home of the year award 2008. But he is not just an Architect he is an author and a guide. A former city councillor (1982-1990), Jude Ashworth was given special responsibility for environmental matters and later became regional director for the Tidy Britain Group.
